Darac Grill & Bar, CBD

I honestly can't believe that it's Week 11 of my final semester already!! I have been terribly busy last week (and will be until the semester ends!) that I've been living off peanut butter & jam sandwiches, canned tuna and veggie roast. I'm definitely not complaining because I adore all of them but my diet's becoming a bore and my tastebuds are craving different flavours.

During the past weekend, I got my wish and had something else! Something that would jump start and tingle my tastebuds. I could have gone with a fiery Szechuan hotpot or a tangy Mexican taco but a spicy and comforting Korean meal was definitely the winner.

My friend suggested Darac Grill & Bar and I couldn't be more excited to check it out! I remembered reading a wonderful post by Winston from The Hungry Excavator, who wrote nothing but praises for this place. So, I knew that I had to give this place a go and eat my stress away!! ;)

**NOTE: I do apologize for the crappy pictures but the place was dark and I just wanted to start eating as soon as possible! :P

 Spicy Seafood Sausage Stew

The seafood pieces were tiny but I loved every bit of this! There were slices of rice cakes, tofu, spam, ham, cheese, sausages, zucchini, bits of macaroni and a handful sweet potato noodles at the bottom.

If you're looking at the picture and thinking that it doesn't look spicy enough, boy oh boy, you're wrong! After boiling for a few minutes, the innocent looking broth turned flaming red. I still didn't think that it was spicy enough but the red broth did leave my stomach feeling warm and fuzzy!

 Spicy Calamari

The calamari was beautifully cooked and covered in a slightly sweet & spicy sauce but I couldn't help comparing it to Joomak's amazing pan fried spicy squid. Darac's dish is definitely lighter and milder but still good in every way.

Pork Bulgogi

The bulgogi was on the saltier side when compared to the other dishes but like all salty dishes, they're perfect with rice. I would have really enjoyed this with a bowl of porridge/congee!!

Ah well, all yummy things must come to an end and I've got to head back to my assignments! I would really love to give their lunch a try but that will be sometime in the future!
