THE day finally arrived! At 2pm, 10 of us gathered at the Melbourne Central store and our adventure began. Sheryl wasted no time and started off by introducing herself along with her inspiring story about how Cupcake Central came about. And that reminded me of something my dad always told me, "Dream big. No harm done because dreams are free." :) Right, back to cupcakes...
With the help of Alston (one of the amazing bakers there!), we were divided into two groups and given tips & tricks on baking their Vanilla and Red Velvet cupcakes. Red Velvets!!!! Oh, the glorious wonders of the red goodness! Soon, cupcakes were done and in the oven.
While the cupcakes were baking in the oven, we got our creative juice flowing with some fondant art! I gleefully punched out a few butterflies, stars, hearts, alphabets... like play-doh but waaayyyy better - sweet AND edible!
Alston taking 'em out to rest and cool.
The time seriously flew by and before we knew it, the cupcakes were done!

After we were done with our fondants, we had a heavenly tea break filled with cupcakes, milkshakes, tea, coffee & hot chocolates.

Going old school! You've gotta try the chocolate one as well...
Nothing gets better than eating freshly baked cupcakes! Seriously, I'm falling deeper in love with their Red Velvet cupcakes.
.. with some chocolate to wash the cupcakes down :)
Frosting time!! After our short break, we got back to 'work' and the lovely Sheryl showed us different ways of frosting cupcakes. Practice makes perfect!
Not too bad eh? ;)
Pack 'em in a box and my snugly fitted cupcakes are coming home with me!
And a surprise before heading home... their own blend of chocolate cupcake baking mix in their new Cupcake Central lunchbox! I'm gonna pack my lunch everyday from now on!
How am I gonna eat these beauties :(
