Duck Duck Goose Bistro, Melbourne CBD

Tucked away in a corner in QV, Duck Duck Goose brings an interesting modern twist to Chinese food. I have been here before and the food is delicious! So, naturally, we came back for more...

Salmon Cake with Lentils

Similar to a burger patty but with the goodness and flavour of salmon! The cakes were moist and the sesame seeds crust added another layer of texture and gave it an interesting crunch. The sauce, very similar to sweet chilli sauce, summed up the dish nicely.

Glazed Tofu with Beetroot and Camembert Cheese

The glaze on the tofu was bursting with flavours! Salty with a subtle hint of sweetness. The beetroot and cheese was an interesting addition in the dish!

Prawn Kataifi (3pcs)

It started with 3 pieces. Then 2. Then crap! We haven't taken a picture of this dish yet!
Very similar to a tempura but kataifi pastry was used to coat the prawns instead. Crunchy, warm, soft. 3 pieces won't be enough..

Duck Burger with Chips seasoned with Chinese Five Spice

Our friend loves duck. And this definitely got his approval!

Overall, the food is delicious! Other dishes that I would recommend?? Deep-fried calamari spring roll and the Peking Duck. And if you have room for more.. definitely go for the Red Bean Chocolate Fondant with coconut ice-cream. Yum.
